Safari Bookmarks bar

Submitted by brice on August 20, 2008 to Annoyance, Usability

When you click a 'folder' (set of bookmarks) in the 'Bookmarks bar' you can't switch between various 'folders' by hovering like you do with the apple menu bar, you have to click each time to get the list of bookmarks.

Just the way I like it - it makes it easier for me, and ensures that I won't accidentally switch to another folder/menu.

This is one thing I always hated about Safari and the one thing I prefer about Firefox.

I understand abitgone's view, but adherance to standards would be nice. Every other menubar on other GUIs switche between menus on hover, not on click. Fewer clicks is better.
