Unable to open more than one quicklook window.

Submitted by hoopla_punta on August 18, 2008 to Annoyance, Usability

1. The main problem here is that it is not possible to open more than one QL window. So it is rather hard to compare documents if you want to and you'll have to keep switching between the documents.

1. After selecting your documents and opening quicklook, there will be a button next to the index sheet, which is to split the QL window a second one, the second would show the item you are currently are on.
There is also a there will be also a merge button to merge the single QL window to the one with the index sheet.
There will also be a + button on the top right hand corner that will add a new QL window.

After you have made for than one window, there will also be a target icon to target a new item to the QL window, as the nature of the windows is not based on what you have highlighted.

You should really file two distinct submissions for these. That said, Quicklook is a feature to enable just that - a quick look at a file. If you want a window for each file, open the file.

I agree ^. And you can toggle back and forth between files. If you want to do more than look at them one by one then open them. Lots of programs have the ability to tile windows so you can look at two at the same time, perfect for comparing documents.
