Weeknumbers in iCal

Submitted by basvdijk on August 17, 2008 to Annoyance, Usability

Sometime one asked me to make an appointment for example in week 32. In iCal there is no way to see what week number a week has. There is a workaround in subscribing yourself to an online calendar which has the weeknumbers as an appointment.

There is one big disadvantage, when syncing with my mobile phone every day has an appointment with the weeknumber in it.

Add a possibility to display the weeknumbers next to the mini calendars.

Problem with this is that there are at least six different commonly used definitions for week numbering. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Week#Week_number

True, but since OSX supports locale that should not be a problem I think.

It's not exclusively locale based actually, different definitions are valid in the same area.
