Web access during system install or rescue

Submitted by bastyani on August 25, 2009 to Usability

It would be great if you could access internet during OS X system install or when you
have a corrupted and non working system so you could insert the install disc and access the web with a simple browser and get some help for your problem.
There are some options in the Utilities menu during install (like Disk Utility and Network Utility...) but none of them can be used to access the web.

i like it but it needs to be heavily sandboxed to prevent malware infection at install :)

Unfortunately still not implemented in Snow Leopard (10.6) :(
