Almost all settings in the System Preferences are missing an undo/revert function

Submitted by bastyani on August 25, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

When you change some parameters in the System Settings there is no way to undo.
There are some of them where you can find an "Revert" and "Save" function but once
you save it you cannot revert it. The revert button is then grayed out. There is also
a Edit->Undo function but it is always grayed out. It happens a lot of times that you have to chance some parameters in System Settings and it would be great if you could revert
them if you made a mistake. It happens a lot of times in our company that some
"clever" guys go and change the settings and then they don't remember what was changed.

Add Undo / Revert option.
