Finder: listview and copying files with keyboardshortcut

Submitted by mojo2012 on June 20, 2009 to Annoyance, Bug, Usability

If the Finder is in listview and a sub folder is opened with the "triangle" symbol, the shortcut cmd-v doesn't paste the file in the opened/selected subfolder but in the main folder that is opened in the current finder window.

This happens both when the subfolder itself is selected and if a file in the subfolder is selected.

Though it is possible to use the context menu on the sub folder, this is quite annoying.

If a sub folder in listview is "opened" (triangle top is on the bottom) and the folder or a file in the folder is selected, then a cmd-v should paste the file into this folder, and not in the folder that is currently shown in the finder window.
