iCal: I can't find any way to delete calendar entries or ToDos.
I believe there should be an easy way of deleting entries of any kind in iCal (e.g., calendar events or To Dos. I can't think of any reason why this capability should not be present for other types of entries, but perhaps there is one.) If an event is cancelled (without rescheduling), you need to be able to delete the event. Similarly, if a To Do item is no longer applicable (e.g., if a related meeting is cancelled), you should also be able to delete the ToDo entry.
I didn't see this particular problem listed in any of the Aqua Task Force entries. If it is a duplicate, my apologies in advance...

P.S. I am a new member of this Aqua Task Force; I stumbled upon this site the other day and thought I would check it out. I have an iMac (3.06 GHz w/ 24" screen) that I purchased in May, 2008. I am running Leopard 10.5.7.
(1) Proposed solution: I think Apple should include a DELETE button or function within iCal.
(2) Alternatively (my 2nd choice) you could use the DELETE key on the keyboard to accomplish this function.
(NOTE: I am just a regular Mac user. I am not a programmer or even a power user, so I can't recommend a specific technical solution.)

Both delete keys on the keyboard delete iCal events if they are highlighted. Same with to-dos.
Uhhhhh, WOW... just wow!
Select the event, and press either delete key (or if using a non Apple Keyboard, Backspace or Delete key).
Just wow!
Sorry for the overly basic question, folks! I assure you I have tried to delete entries from iCal using the DELETE key many, many times before, but without any success. I admitted I am not a power user or a programmer, but I am not THAT stupid! For example, right before I posted this, I got some kind of error message essentially saying I did not have permission or authority to delete a particular iCal entry that I had created because I was not the owner of the entry. (I most certainly was the owner!)
Anyway, the DELETE key works just fine now for deleting iCal entries. I did not get the message about the alleged lack of ownership of the entry in question, and I did not have any other problems deleting iCal entries a few minutes ago. So, I don't know what caused this recurring problem, but the problem appears to have
resolved itself.
Thanks to both responders for their assistance.
