Safari: tabbar

Submitted by mojo2012 on April 19, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

If you've so much tabs open, that Safari can't display them in the tabbar, a >> appears on the right side of the tabbar. Through clicking on it you can access the tabs, that can't be shown on the tabbar anymore.
If you often switch between those tabs, you always have to use that >>. This behaviour is quite annoying.

Add an option to adopt the Firefox behaviour: enable horizontal scrolling.
So if you scroll to the right side, the left tabs disappear and all tabs on the right side are shown.

Safari != Firefox. That's why third party apps exist, to give you choice.

But safari is better than Firefox, because it's faster and it's look much more "mac-like". And it can be even better. It's clearly not designed for having too much tabs open. This could be really improved.

This is the ONLY feature lacking why I do not use Safari 100 percent..... additionally having the favicon in the tabs makes for smaller width tabs navigable when scrolling past "pages" or almost 100 tabs....
