'Now Playing' button in iTunes

Submitted by alextrob on February 13, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

When you're browsing through music while also listening to music in iTunes, there's no easy way to get back to the track that's currently playing.

A 'Now Playing' button like in the iPhone's iPod app would bring up the currently playing song in the context that it's playing in. So if you start playing a track from a playlist, the Now Playing button would take you to that playlist and not to the Album or Artist of that track.

It’s command+L or the little arrow next to genius icon in thing at the top that shows the track name and progress and so forth.

Ahh so it is. I feel a bit stupid now.

I still think it should be more visible though.
