Audio-MIDI-Setup: Move Audio settings to System Preferences

Submitted by Flauchhaus on November 29, 2008 to Aesthetics, Usability

All audio preferences should be in System Preferences, not in an application in the utilities folder. Also its quite odd to configure 5.1 Soundcards in it. In Audio-MIDI-Setup you can set up multichannel/multiple sound-cards, midi devices, input/output sound devices etc. Why do we have two places to configure audio hardware?

Move all audio preferences where they belong, to the System Preferences.
Make it easier to configure multichannel soundcards.
