Double clikcing the folder you want in the path bar should be single click

Submitted by Hansii on September 1, 2008 to Annoyance

To me it seems odd to have to double click the wanted folder in the path bar in Finder.

Make it single click.

Use Command-Up, or go to View>Show Path Bar when you're in the Finder. Then you can always see the higher level and double-click it.

Thanks a lot. But it seems odd to have to double click on the folder I want to go to in the Path Bar.

I guess it's set for double-clicking so you don't accidentally get lost by a stray click. That's my best guess.

I agree, intuitively I want to single click, which I always try first, and when it doesn't work I then try double clicking.

I certainly wouldn't want to change it, but I can see that some people might - a better solution might be to make it user-configurable.

Yes for user-configurable, or it could at least select the folder on single click, just to show that clicks do something.

I agree with allowing users to select single click or double click options )making it user configurable).
