Not able to make quicklook window "a real window" or sticky.

Submitted by hoopla_punta on August 22, 2008 to Usability

Quicklook windows are not "real windows" as they fade away when you move away from finder and exposeing. This is a problem when you want to compare documents in another app.

A button (maybe on the title bar) to make the window a real one. To show this the transparencies of the window is removed. Also the window can be set to be the frontmost with a checkbox.

As I mentioned there, Quicklook is a feature of the Finder to enable just that - a quick look at a file. If you want to make a Quicklook window a real window, just open the file.

You can open a quicklook window in Finder, and yes, when you go to another application it disappears, but when you go back to Finder it comes back again. So as long as you have Finder in the foreground you can compare side by side with another application window, or you can toggle back and forth between finder and that app.

Or, as abitgone said, just open the file.
