Application icons are not refreshed when an app is freshly installed

Problem: Usually when you install a new application or update an existing application the system uses a "default" icon for that app in the application list until you start the application.

QuickTime X is missing some features

Almost all settings in the System Preferences are missing an undo/revert function

Problem: When you change some parameters in the System Settings there is no way to undo.

There is no native support for read/write NTFS in OS X

Problem: Currently there is no native support for write mode on NTFS disks under OS X. Only read from NTFS formatted disks is supported. The situation is perhaps more complicated than it seems as probably there are some legal issues between Apple and Microsoft (more...)

Solution: Luckily for now there are some free alternatives ( like NTFS-3G etc. ), but I really think that this should work straight out of the box.

Menu closes if you miss the menu item for a little

Problem: Almost in every menu in OS X when you want to select a menu item if
you for example by accident miss that item for a few pixels and you click on the empty space the whole menu closes. Most problematic when there are a lot of submenus

Quick Look: does not play .m1v (mpeg) files

Problem: Using Quick Look we cannot preview mpeg files with .m1v extension.
We can successfully playback .mpg files. The m1v file is essentially the same
as mpg with the difference that there is no audio layer included. We make

Web access during system install or rescue

Problem: It would be great if you could access internet during OS X system install or when you
have a corrupted and non working system so you could insert the install disc and access the web with a simple browser and get some help for your problem.

Finder: better switching between Finder windows

Problem: Better switching between Finder windows should be implemented.
For that purpose I now have to use extra plugins (witch) so I can switch between
Finder windows with alt-tab shortcut.

QuickLook of a .pps file in SnowLeopard is not as sleek as it is in Leopard

Problem: In SnowLeopard when you QuickLook a .pps file it displays the main screen with the thumbnails of the pages on the left side. You cannot use your mouse scrollwheel to scroll up / down the pages, as the main view is fixed. You also cannot use the up/down (more...)

Solution: I like the old way much more. No problem with the pages thumbnails on the side but just allow the main view to be scrolled.

Not able to hide all applications / windows with Cmd-H shortcut

Problem: I use Cmd-H all the time to quickly hide applications. The only problem is that in no

Snow Leopard - the new minimize option has no clear indication of minimized windows

Problem: In the new Snow Leopard you have the option to minimize a window in the
application icon but as soon as you minimize it there is no clear indication that
the windows are minimized and how many are they. It is OK that the windows are minimized (more...)

Solution: Maybe in a way like iPhone notification works. It displays a little circle with the
info of how many windows are minimized. The bottom half of the screenshot
is a quick preview of how could this be made.

"Different" shutdown menu in the new Snow Leopard (10.6)

Problem: (this applies to the new Snow Leopard (10.6) )
When using the Ctrl-EJECT shortcut to invoke the "restart/shutdown" menu
in the new Snow Leopard (10.6) there is only the ShutDown button selected.

The red X to close the window does not close the program / application

Problem: There is no problem for me, but I have a lot of experiences with my friends
that are new to MAC's that they use the red X to "close" the application but
