Why are people voting this down? It is absolutely a reproducible issue.

QuickTime X is missing some features

I'm fairly sure Apple is aware of the shortcomings of QuickTime X. This is why you have the option of installing QuickTime 7.

Just give it time.

This has been getting progressively more annoying lately.

Allow dock position to be set independent of menu bar.

Jasper, Its pretty clear to me you lack a full understand of this. My dock is already on a different monitor than the menu bar. This is an existing feature. If you want to try it just set the dock position to the same side as your secondary monitor.

What I'm asking for is the ability to actually control where the dock goes. For example, sometimes I would like to put the dock on the bottom of the secondary monitor.

And really, don't knock this configuration until you have tried it. I used to have the dock until I stopped using it as a launcher. Thats really not its forte. Use it for notifications and occasional window switching.

Also, I don't know about your dock, but mine is more like 60 pixels high, not 10. I want to be able to use all of the real estate on my primary screen without hiding the dock.

Personally I have no problem with the menu bar only being present on the primary screen.

iTunes 8 not Aqua-ish enough. Cover Flow functionality issues.

I'm not sure I feel that great about introducing unneeded transitions. They are annoying enough on the iPhone, I'd prefer not to have to deal with them in iTunes too.

Perhaps if iTunes performance was improved before this was done.

Inconsistent look for alerts in iTunes 8, iPhone and iPod touch

I disagree.

These are two entirely different UI elements. IE: Icons vs sidebar entry. They don't need to look the same. I prefer things as they are.

iTunes can't auto-scan folders for new or missing media

Wrote on February 22, 2009, 7:52pm

This is such a basic feature I fail to see why anyone would object to having it.

For those of us who don't want iTunes to mange our libraries (for example, my library is too large for a single drive) an auto-scan function would be brilliant.

This is just one of those things I have never understood about iTunes. Every other media player out there has supported this in some way since about 2002.

Good idea, but best implemented as a plugin imo.

Yeah. I can confirm this. Every time I use the "Play Album" function it resets the album list view.
