Improve the UI for multiple monitors

Wrote on November 29, 2008, 10:47pm

I love OS X's idea of document and not application-centric behaviour, and the unified menubar is such a nice step forward from my windows past. But it just breaks *so badly* when going to a two monitor system. It is really really poor UI when you have to mouse furiously across huge distances to use your menus. Duplicating the menu bar, or some cool way to "warp" to the menu bar from the second monitor would be very welcome.

Improve printer settings usability

Printer dialogs are indeed a mess. It gets even worse when Adobe adds to that mess. We basically couldn't find a way to print out to a large-format printer from Acrobat under OS X in the dreadful mix of dialogs, we ended up rebooting in Windows XP for the more consistent print dialogs!!!

Tabs would be better, and something in the UI guidelines to standardize 3rd party dialogs too.

A small visual indication that an application is minimized in CMD-Tab view

Yes, the non-action on cmd+tabbing to a minimised app i've seen confuse people before, and I think more people expect to see the app once they landed on it with that feature. So a +1 here

This is really frustrating in OS X, a better replace dialog would be very welcome, more windows like or not!
