Better mouse acceleration curve / Better "mousing feeling"
An additional option in the mouse prefpane to set the acceleration would be nice. For those who are just fine with the mose acceleration there is no need to change this option. But in case someone feels uncomfortable, there should be an option to change this behaviour.
Normally i have a m$ optical mouse connected to my macbook pro. The supplied mouse driver offers to set that acceleration curve. But if I connect my logitech mouse there it is again: the sluggish, too fast for the full screen, and to slow for small range motions ... and i can't set it anywhere.
So, this shouldn't be a driver specific option, but a system wide one.
Merge folders option when copying/moving
Even MS has implemented that function in vista. Till XP windows merged every folder - there was no real "replace" function. That's the opposite.
Now there is a nice little dialog, which offers you to skip, replace, merge. Additionally it shows some information about the files to be replaced: change time, last access ...
It would be greate if apple "innovates" the whole copy, move and trash functions of folder.
/Network needs to be available in Finder sidebar
Hmm if you have 10 or more pcs in a network, the finder window doens't display all pcs. So you have to resize the window or close the other sections of the sidebar. Ergo, more clicks are needed to show all pcs on a network. Wouldn't it be easier to have just network icon in the sidebar. One click and you have all pcs at once.
Auto mounting of network shares
That sounds greate. The fact that finder aks again and again if the network share is not reachable ...
Btw. it would be greate to have an option - either in the "connect to server" dialog or in the "get info" - to reconnect at next startup/login.
Delete app related files/settings when dragging apps to the trash
I suggest that apple just provides a small little app - like DesInstaller3 - that reads the bom files in /Library/Receipts and deletes necessary files. Then it should ask to delete the user preferences and application support files as well.
Another way would be, to just add a uninstall command to the context menu of pkg files. The installer open the package, looks into it and simply does the reverse: delete the files it would otherwise install ...
So uninstalling would be as simple as to go to the Receipts folder, right click and choos unstinstall package.
Folders mixed with files in the Finder

So guys, i want to clear something. Everywhere I look for "folders first" I'll get the same answer: sort by kind. To make it clear for once and for ever: that is NO solution. It simply is not the same as having folder at top.
Folder first means, to have folders at the top, sorted by name. Then all files a shown, as well sorted by name.
If I sort by kind, I get all "Doc Files" by name, then all "Excel files" by name, then a "Folders" by name, then all ....
You see the difference? I don't want to seperate each kind of file! Just Folders and files in general.
The next problem is, that sorting by kind DOESNOT guarantee that folders are on top. If there are other kinds, eg "Doc Files" (D comes before F ...) Then There are all doc files, then all folders, and then files again.
I understand, that some people don't need that feature. So I don't want to force happy people to get used to such a thing. But there MUST be an option, because it makes sense for many people. And come on apple, that can't be to hard to implement ...
