Desktop icon grid becomes misaligned when using multiple monitors

Problem: Please refer to the attached picture.

I have a Macbook, which I use by itself and also connected to a large LCD monitor. In the attached picture, the top three icons (Leopard, Springboard and the dlls directory) are placed in the top right (more...)

Solution: Make pixel coordinates start from the top right of screen for the purposes of icon alignment. Or, align icons to the top left.

Moving cursor to the left while renaming exits renaming mode

Problem: With Finder in list mode, select a file and press return to enter rename mode. The cursor is placed at the end of the file name. Edit the end of the file name so that the entire file name is not selected. Now press the left arrow to move the cursor to (more...)

Solution: Only exit rename mode when the user presses return or escape.
