iTunes unusable during iPod update
When iTunes is backing up the iPod and installing the software update, you are unable to use iTunes for playing music or do anything else, while if you synchronize the iPod it just backs up in the background (and installs apps in the background).
Get the update process in a background task, with the information in the top-green-thingy.

Sounds for Plugging in and Unplugging
When you plug a device (like a USB drive) MacOS should make a sound. I find this very usefull to confirm that the computer recognized the device and that it shows up in the Finder. It's also a good confirmation when you pull out the drive - it awards (more...)
