Finder: Tabbed browsing in Finder
-1
Why don't you just use several finder windows? This would also make it much easier+faster for your brain, because their unique position and size makes remembering easy (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spatial_file_manager ).
Dialog windows lack keyboard shortcuts and tabbing (by default)
I think shortcuts could appear when pressing cmd for 2 seconds, like in TextWrangler/BBEdit. Otherwise I'm against it, as it adds too much "visual noise and distraction".
No Cut option in the Finder
Regarding "marking it as cut is not destructive": correct, but then the feature doesn't work the same way as it does in every other Apple app, which would also confuse many people.
Regarding "time machine makes cuts non-destructive": not necessarily, if a file is only 30 minutes old, it might very well not yet been backed up, in which case cutting would be destructive indeed.
I suggest Apple implements this, then turns it off by default. Turning on only via prefs-hacking.
Show metadata in the Finder
That's a very reasonable feature wish, but no quirk. Maybe we should have another website that lists feature wishes?
Show deleted files greyed out in the Finder which are still available in the Trash Bin
This is not a quirk, but a feature suggestion.
Double-click in Safari's download list
Yes, double-click on the icon works. We should rephrase this submission as "Double-click should work on the whole line".
Play minimized QuickTime and iTunes movies in the Dock
I always considered this "feature" a toy, or rather "demos well, doesn't make me more productive". ±0 from me.
After deleting a file, the next file should be selected
Nothing should be selected without the user's explicit wish, so I demoted this submission.
But I've got an alternative solution: the finder reminds the position of last selection after a file is deleted, and when you press either arrow-up or arrow-down, the next file relative to the reminded position is selected.
Better mouse acceleration curve / Better "mousing feeling"

I'm sorry, but this community has already gone the way of the dodo. Too many aggressive people, not enough niceness.
Goodbye.
