Don't have Safari open dmg's automatically
By default, Safari opens every DMG it downloads and starts the install script within. Together with the omnipresent automatic download-on-page-load functionality (eg: <META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="3;URL=URL_to_document">

Don't let Safari automatically open DMG's by default. And don't call this option "open safe files after downloading". DMG's are not always safe files! At least give the user some warning that he's opening a file has (more...)

Front Row stops playing music once you exit the Music section
OK so I'm playing some music through Front Row, and decide I want to look at a few photos. As soon as I move up to the main menu to get to Pictures, the music stops. Who thought this was a good idea?
Only stop playing music when the user selects something to play that has audio.

IP number in Show Info of a shared computer

Display IP number in the Show Info/More Info section of a network computer. MAC address would be a bonus.

Internal DVD drive required to play any VIDEO_TS folder
If you unplug/remove the internal DVD drive of any Mac, OS X (DVD Player/Front Row) is then unable to play VIDEO_TS folders on the hard drive or DVDs in an external (USB) DVD drive. Has been a bug since at least Panther, never fixed. Basically forces (more...)
Fix the bug in DVD Player that an internal DVD drive has to be present in order to play DVDs.
Edit: Believe it or not, but using a hacked AppleSMBios.kext from the Hackintosh scene fixes it. Google "AppleSMBios 28". Wow. Bunch (more...)
