Odd phrasing in iTunes Smart Playlist

Problem: A decidedly minor annoyance. Create a Smart Playlist that relies on the Year field. The choices include a year greater than or less than a given year.

Solution: The words after and before are more appropriate. Although some years may be considered greater than others, I suppose!

Inconsistent look for alerts in iTunes 8, iPhone and iPod touch

Problem: Even I'll admit this is nitpicking. There are varying styles for alerts within iTunes and the iPhone/iPod touch interface. As you can see, the iTunes sidebar uses a pill-shaped bubble with the same font as the iPhone and iPod touch. Grid view (more...)

Solution: While iTunes and the iPhone/iPod touch probably don't need to be precisely the same, iTunes should at least be consistent within its own interface. Ideally both should use a standard shape, font and color for unplayed media, new e-mail, app updates (more...)

Cannot create Genius playlist in iTunes 8 via Menu Bar or keyboard shortcut

Problem: Currently the only way to create a Genius playlist around a song in iTunes is to click the "Start Genius" button in the lower-right corner of the iTunes window. There is no keyboard shortcut, and because there is also no Menu Bar command for (more...)

Solution: Preferably, assign a keyboard shortcut to this button. Otherwise, at least add a command for this in the Menu Bar (for example, Store>Start Genius, which can be grouped with the other Genius commands). Then one could assign a custom keyboard shortcut (more...)

iTunes 8 forgets view setting after selecting Show Browser

Problem: In iTunes 8, you can show the browser view by going to View>Show Browser or pressing Command+B. When you do this while in Grid or Cover Flow view, iTunes changes to List View to show the Browser, as expected. However, once you hide the Browser (View>Hide (more...)

Solution: After accessing the Browser from Grid or Cover Flow view, return the view to its original state after hiding the Browser.

Allow "Website suggestion" category for Aqua Taskforce

Problem: Currently we cannot make suggestions about the Aqua Taskforce site itself, even though this feature is present on the sister site, Aero Taskforce.

Solution: Provide a category for "Website suggestion" to allow users to make suggestions to improve the Aqua Taskforce website.

Some Aqua Taskforce web links under Mac OS X UX References link to same site, incorrect site

Problem: N.B. This is not an annoyance within Mac OS X, but rather a website suggestion for the Aqua Taskforce. I noticed these when providing a reference in one of my comments.

Solution: 1. Merge the links for both Mac OS X UX Guidelines and Mac OS X UX References. The single link should be named "Mac OS UX Guides", which is where the link actually goes.
