Icon inconsistency
Tthe folder icon in iTunes is different that the folder icon in the rest of the OS. Different form, different color, always looks like it's open. Looks like it never escaped from OS 9. What's up with that? And another thing while I'm thinking (more...)
If the icons look the same, they should do the same thing. Suggest changing their appearance. Also, update the iTunes folders to look like the system folders. (Windows has an "open" folder state and a "closed" folder state...something (more...)

Unable to Preview Existing Files in Save As Dialog (Thumbnail Mode)
I think this hits on every category. Sometimes it's a no-brainer, you just want to see the other photos and such when you're saving adjascently or overwriting an existing one.
At a minimum, allow files in the columns-view to be browsed with the side-preview. Ideally though, include a thumbnail/tile view in the Save As dialog.

Safari: RSS icon
Why does Safari not use the default RSS icon? All other browsers I know use the same icon. I'd prefer that icon too.
Use the world wide standard rss icon for the address bar.

Folder badges should be colored
The new Leopard folder icons have flat, monochromatic badges that are hard to read and distinguish from each other, especially at small sizes.
Bring back the colored badges that were in every previous version of OS X.

Use Icon instead of Application Menu Name
It would be greate to have an OPTION to use the application icon as in the menu instead of the application name.
So to the right of the apple icon there would be the safari icon.
Sometimes it happens to me, that I have an app with (more...)
To be able to use the app icon instead of the name would free some space and (imho) looks great.

Remove Finder's 'light' unless a finder window is actually open.
Finder always appears to be open - demonstrated by the lighted dot underneath the icon on the desktop. That light should only be active if a finder window is actually open. Sure Apple says that finder is always active, with spotlight etc - but as far (more...)
Finder's "light" below the icon should only appear when a finder window has been opened. It should not be a permanent fixture.

Unable to see icons on menu bar if there are too many
When you switch to an app with a lot of menus, your icons on the right get cut away, never to be found unless you which to e.g. finder, which has less menus.
This also happens when you switch to lower resolutions for projectors and such. (more...)
Double clicking the apple icon will push another "menu bar" below the actual one. Then you can drag icons into the additional bar, including system ones, by using the "command" modifier. (FYI, did you know that you can reorder system (more...)
