Front Row will not play rented movies

Submitted by dehetepappie on October 29, 2009 to Annoyance

OK so we can rent movies in the Store but only watch them through iTunes or via an AppleTV, and not through Front Row? Way to go Apple!

Get your asses in gear and spend some time coding on that redheaded stepchild of yours called Front Row. YouTube and Flickr support like the AppleTV also wouldn't hurt.

QuickLook of a .pps file in SnowLeopard is not as sleek as it is in Leopard

Submitted by bastyani on September 27, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

In SnowLeopard when you QuickLook a .pps file it displays the main screen with the thumbnails of the pages on the left side. You cannot use your mouse scrollwheel to scroll up / down the pages, as the main view is fixed. You also cannot use the up/down (more...)

I like the old way much more. No problem with the pages thumbnails on the side but just allow the main view to be scrolled.

The problem is that even when the app is started for a (more...)

A simple refresh of the icons after the app is started would do the trick.

Snow Leopard - the new minimize option has no clear indication of minimized windows

Submitted by bastyani on September 10, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

In the new Snow Leopard you have the option to minimize a window in the
application icon but as soon as you minimize it there is no clear indication that
the windows are minimized and how many are they. It is OK that the windows are minimized (more...)

Maybe in a way like iPhone notification works. It displays a little circle with the
info of how many windows are minimized. The bottom half of the screenshot
is a quick preview of how could this be made.

Address Book's "search for duplicates" needs to be more informative about conflicts

Submitted by Malteser on September 7, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

When Address Book finds duplicate contacts, it simply asks you whether or not you wish to merge the contacts, without any supplementary information. It's impossible to make a good decision based on that information.

Give it a dialogue similar to the sync conflicts dialog - we can see both the contacts, and if they are indeed identical, we can choose to merge them.

Snow Leopard Expose glow is ugly

Submitted by kelchm on September 4, 2009 to Aesthetics

The blue Expose glow in Snow Leopard is pretty ugly. I don't know how this got out the door, but I'd really like to see it fixed.

Give us a less jarring/ugly color option.

Menu closes if you miss the menu item for a little

Submitted by bastyani on August 23, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

Almost in every menu in OS X when you want to select a menu item if
you for example by accident miss that item for a few pixels and you click on the empty space the whole menu closes. Most problematic when there are a lot of submenus
opened (more...)

The menu should not close if you miss the item.
