Play minimized QuickTime and iTunes movies in the Dock

Submitted by vandlism on August 23, 2008 to Bug

In previous iterations of OS X, movies that were minimized in the Dock would continue to play. Currently the sound continues but we are left with a snapshot freeze-frame for the minimized window.

Minimized movies in the dock would continue playing both audio and video.

Time Machine backup progress window can be moved under Dock

Submitted by 3dman on August 15, 2008 to Annoyance, Bug

If you moved the Time Machine Backup Progress window to the bottom of the screen it goes behind Dock and you need to hide the Dock so that you could move it up again.

Make it like all the other windows bounce up when you drag them to behind the Dock.

Submitted by sarachka on August 14, 2008 to Annoyance, Bug, Usability

When I used to connect to servers (SMB) using Finder > View> Connect to Server in the previous version, I could connect to any folder, and then navigate up to a previous level. Now, they won't let me go up. For example, "smb://filepath/level1/level2/level3" (more...)

Just bring that back.

Submitted by Flauchhaus on August 13, 2008 to Annoyance, Bug

QuickLook won't play animated gif files, it just shows the first frame. Users have to use Safari or other 3rd party picture viewers to fully preview animated gifs.

Enable playing .gif animations in QuickLook, or provide a .gif plugin for QuickLook.

Show Icon Preview Mode short-circuits file renaming

Submitted by baliset on August 12, 2008 to Annoyance, Bug, Icons
