Folder badges should be colored

Submitted by Uncommon on August 11, 2008 to Aesthetics, Icons, Usability

The new Leopard folder icons have flat, monochromatic badges that are hard to read and distinguish from each other, especially at small sizes.

Bring back the colored badges that were in every previous version of OS X.

Spaces: setting for desktop-switching speed

Submitted by mito on August 11, 2008 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Usability

I love Spaces -- or, rather, I think I will love it when I can use it.

I switch between desktops the way most people switch between applications. I'm used to the transitions being instantaneous. The Spaces transition is too slow (more...)

Possibility to resize windows till the bottom of the screen, even when the Dock is visible

Submitted by tomerb on August 11, 2008 to Aesthetics, Usability

When the Dock is visible, it effectively shrinks the available screen size for most applications. Safari and Firefox for example, can't be resized beyond the top margin of the dock.
This is also becomes an aesthetic issue in OS 10.5, where (more...)

This option should probably be optional, especially since some users have a very wide Dock which would hide window's status bars.

Moving files in Finder displays a Copy dialog

Submitted by ion on August 10, 2008 to Aesthetics

When the user copies files in Finder then a window pops up. Its title says: Copy.
When the user moves files from one location to another then the windowtitle is still Copy.

Leopard has this "feature" as well.

Change the title of the window.

Submitted by hoopla_punta on August 10, 2008 to Aesthetics, Icons

OSX Leopard has 3 "aqua styles" (kinda a made up theory):
First, the "grey buttons" which is found in Finder, Safari, iCal...
Next, the "bubble buttons" which is found in Mail and Preview
These two share (more...)

Change all the bubble style icons to grey icons.

or give the option to have Mac-Native Apps to have either grey or bubble icons.
